The Busan International Rock Festival runs Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October 2026 at Samnak Eco Park (삼락생태공원, Samnak Ecological Park) in Sasang-gu. It is Korea’s longest-running international rock festival, and it is paid. This page covers that weekend only: tickets, getting in, getting there, camping, and what you can bring. Tickets
The festival sells through two pages of its own site:
- Korean buyers: TICKET – KOR, which goes to YES24 Ticket
- Foreign buyers: TICKET – GLOBAL, with buttons for YES24 Global, Klook and KKday. All three links were still on the page on 25 September 2026.
Regular sales opened 21 July 2026. The festival’s own notice and ticket sheet give these prices:

YES24 Global showed the same prices when we checked on 19 September 2026. On 25 September its page would not load from our side, so we could not confirm whether any day is sold out. Check the seller before you plan around a particular day. The June early-bird 3-day pass (212,800 won) was a limited release and is not on sale now.
The foreign-buyer catch. YES24 Global only sells to accounts that have done identity verification with a passport, and it warns that some payment methods may not work. Sign up and verify before you try to buy. Have a second card ready, or use the Klook or KKday button on the same official page.
Rules from the official ticket sheet:
- Six tickets per person, previous bookings included.
- The name on the booking cannot be changed, so book on the account of the person who will attend.
- 2-day and 3-day passes belong to one person and cannot be transferred. Partial cancellation is not allowed.
- No cancellations or refunds on the day of the event. Earlier cancellations follow YES24’s fee schedule.

Getting in: mobile ticket, ID, one wristband
- Mobile tickets only. No paper tickets are issued. Your ticket is a QR code under the purchaser’s ID in the YES24 Ticket app or mobile web (MY TICKET), and it activates at 20:00 the day before. Install or update the app beforehand. Screenshots and printouts are not accepted.
- Photo ID at the desk. For foreigners, the festival accepts a passport, an ARC (Alien Registration Card), or a national ID plus a passport copy. Photos of an ID are not accepted.
- One wristband, issued once. Staff scan the QR and fasten the wristband onto your wrist. On a 2-day or 3-day pass it is issued once for the whole festival, and you wear it until the end of your last day.
- Re-entry works only with the wristband on. Lost, damaged or self-removed wristbands are not reissued under any circumstances, which means you cannot get back in.
- Companions. If you bought two tickets, your companion cannot collect their wristband without you, so arrive together.
Gate opening times and wristband-booth hours for 2026 were still “to be announced later” on the ticket sheet as of 25 September. Check the notices the day before.
Venue: Samnak Eco Park
The address, from VisitKorea, is 29-50 Samnak-dong, Sasang-gu, Busan (부산광역시 사상구 삼락동 29-50). It is a wide park on the Nakdong River, well west of Haeundae and Gwangalli. The festival warns that it is an ecological park with wetland areas and soft, uneven ground.
Use Naver Map or Kakao Map, not Google. Google Maps shows the pin but can’t give you walking or transit directions in Korea. Google Maps in Korea explains why. Search for Samnak Eco Park (삼락생태공원).
The nearest subway stop is Sasang Station (사상, Busan Metro Line 2). Busan’s city trail page puts it about 20 minutes on foot from the park. The festival’s SHUTTLE BUS page has a tab for a venue circulation shuttle (행사장 순환, “venue loop”), but it had no 2026 times on 25 September, so check it closer to the weekend. From outside Busan, the festival sells Kakao T shuttle and ticket packages for domestic buyers and a k.ride round-trip shuttle, with or without a ticket, for international visitors.
From Seoul: KTX
The KTX from Seoul to Busan takes about two and a half hours. The standard fare is 54,400 won after the September 2026 fare cut. Booking with a foreign card is covered in Can foreigners buy KTX tickets online in 2026?.
Saturday 3 October is National Foundation Day (개천절, Gaecheonjeol), a public holiday in the middle of the festival, so trains fill up early. Book your train before you settle anything else.
Going back to Seoul the same night after a full day at the park is hard, so stay in Busan. For things to do in the city before or after: Busan From Seoul.
Camping
The official CAMPING page (checked 25 September 2026) offers Samnak Auto Camping Site, next to the venue, to festival visitors:
- Stay: 1–5 October 2026, up to four nights
- Booking: 7 September to 4 October 2026, daily 09:00–21:00, first come first served; once sold out, only cancellations become available
- Per night: auto-camping site 30,000 won weekdays and 35,000 won weekends; general site 20,000 / 25,000 won; plus a 2,000 won waste fee

You can’t camp on the festival grounds. Tents, sunshades and chairs with legs are on the prohibited list inside the venue, so leave camping gear at the campsite.
On the day
Hours. VisitKorea lists about 10:00–22:00. Each stage stays open for 30 minutes after its final act, then closes. Viewing is unreserved, first come first served, and a stage can close temporarily when it reaches capacity. Take everything with you when you leave, mats included.
Bag storage (official notice): open 2–4 October, 09:00–23:00. A regular bag is 6,000 won, a large one (a duffel or suitcase that doesn’t fit the storage bag) 10,000 won, and re-storage 3,000 won. Pay by card, cash or bank transfer. Prohibited items found at security are thrown away, not held, so check anything doubtful into storage first.
Not allowed (official list): outside food and drinks, including canned drinks and alcohol; cooking or heating equipment; pets, except guide dogs; tents, sunshades, chairs with legs and air beds; bicycles, scooters and similar; anything flammable, including fireworks, gas lanterns and mosquito coils; pointed umbrellas, knives, glass and similar; drones, DSLRs, tripods and other pro camera gear; lasers, whistles and LED props.
Allowed: unopened bottled water, with no limit; home-packed meals in clear reusable containers, but no glass; picnic mats of about 1.2×1.8 m and chairs without legs, in the picnic zone only; foldable parasols under 60 cm, also picnic zone only; personal medicine and non-spray mosquito repellent; light foldable flags.
Standing zone: no umbrellas, parasols or mats. Carry as little as you can.
Other rules: smoking, including e-cigarettes, only in the designated areas. No filming or recording artists.
Bu-long Night is an optional late show after the park closes. It runs 23:00–02:00 at KT&G Sangsangmadang Busan and CATs Sasang Indie Station. Tickets are sold at the door: 15,000 won, or 10,000 won with a festival wristband or booking confirmation. 19+ only, and you need photo ID.
The rest of Busan in October
The rock festival ends on 4 October, and the Busan International Film Festival starts two days later, running 6–15 October. How visitors can book: BIFF tickets from abroad.
