Surim New Wave 2026 presents "Bisabijuk," a haegeum performance by artist Choi Tae-young. The event takes place on Thursday, October 1, at 19:30 at the Kim Hee-soo Art Center SPACE1.
The performance explores the unique identity of the haegeum, an instrument that is neither string nor bamboo, focusing on themes of deviation and misalignment. The program includes Han Beom-su style Haegeum Sanjo "Eotgarak," Ji Young-hee style Haegeum Sinawi, and a New Wave original piece titled "Bisabijuk." Choi Tae-young will be joined by artists Lee Jun and Hwang Min-wang.
