G-Valley Industry Museum Special Exhibition: Industrial Playground Awakening Mathematics

Imagination about the future always begins with technological advancement. This leads to questions about how new technologies and industrial landscapes will transform our lives. In the process of creating the objects and technologies necessary for a better life, people constantly contemplate and seek answers. As these changes grow, industries undergo innovation, manifesting across all facets of human civilization, including future society, economy, and culture.

Today, as society evolves rapidly, mathematics has gained attention as a vital tool for solving real-world problems arising from these diverse changes.

From algebra, geometry, and analysis to industrial mathematics—which understands the world and solves problems through numbers and logic—mathematics plays a key role in resolving various industrial issues and technical challenges. Moving beyond science and engineering, it converges with diverse fields to create new technologies and values.

Mathematical concepts and principles serve as the foundation that drives overall life and industry for our convenience and safety across various sectors, including transportation, energy, healthcare, and finance—optimizing traffic flow, predicting weather, and analyzing disease data. Particularly in the era of AI and Big Data, mathematical concepts such as functions, differentiation, and integration have become essential tools for analyzing data and discovering hidden patterns and rules. Through this, we are advancing rapidly toward new technologies and industries that were previously unimaginable.

The G-Valley Industry Museum's current exhibition, "Industrial Playground Awakening Mathematics," is a space where you can discover the mathematical principles and stories hidden within our daily lives and industries, encountering mathematics in an easy and interesting way through play and experience. We invite you to begin new imaginations that awaken the future by building mathematical experiences—finding patterns within number systems, understanding space through shapes, and exploring problems through measurement.

Jjimjilbang for the First Time: What Happens at the Door, in the Bath, and on the Floor at 2 a.m.
A jjimjilbang is a public bath with a living room attached. You are naked in the bath, dressed in the house pyjamas everywhere else, and the 24-hour ones let you sleep on the floor. T-money: Where to Buy It, How to Top It Up, and Which Foreign Cards Can Load It
A plain T-money card is bought and topped up with cash, and that has not changed. Since March 2026 a phone version can be loaded with a foreign Mastercard, Amex, UnionPay or JCB. The station kiosks that now take foreign cards will sell you a ticket or a Climate Card pass, but they will not top up a T-money card. Checked on the operators' pages, 16 September 2026.
