Dareumdaum Festival 2026

The ‘Dareum-Daum Festival’ is a participatory cultural arts festival embodying the meaning of ‘Dareum’ (difference) and ‘Daum’ (uniqueness) meeting to create a new ‘Areum-daum’ (beauty). It provides a space where diverse people meet to respect each other's individuality and values, communicating and harmonizing through the medium of cultural arts.

Anyone can participate regardless of age or condition—including children, youth, seniors, people with disabilities, and multicultural families—and all programs are operated free of charge. In particular, the festival presents various performances and participatory programs designed to blur the line between audience and performer, allowing citizens to participate directly as the protagonists of the festival.

Through various stages and experiential programs, such as 「Dareum Stage」—where citizen performance teams selected through an open call share ‘My Story, Our Song’—and 「Dareum SHOW, Daum SHOW」 featuring professional arts organizations, participants share their stories and create shared experiences.

Under the theme of ‘Walking with the Vulnerable,’ the 2026 Dareum-Daum Festival aims to be a celebration where everyone can join together, understanding each other's ‘differences’ and respecting each person's ‘uniqueness’ through cultural arts. Through the experience of diverse people meeting and blending together, the festival shares the values of connection and inclusion inherent in cultural arts, presenting a special day to collectively build a ‘beautiful world created by difference.’
