D.FESTA Small Theater Festival 2026

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the <2026 D.FESTA Small Theater Festival> has been dedicated to understanding changes in Korea's creation environment and the direction of the performance market, while leading the way toward a better performance culture. The festival seeks new avenues for experimental and creative small theater productions and is at the forefront of discovering infinite possibilities on stage.

Since 2016, through nationwide regional exchanges in Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, and Busan, it has worked to bridge cultural gaps and steadily attempted expansion through cultural exchanges with overseas performance teams. As a result, this year's 'Asia Joint Creation Project' and 'Small Theater Festival in Tokyo,' featuring partners from Japan (Sapporo & Tokyo), China, and Taiwan, will visibly showcase the fruits of its accumulated global cultural exchange.

D.FESTA now aims to step up from a domestic to a world-class festival. By further strengthening connections with prestigious festivals and art organizations abroad, it will lead the globalization of Korea's small theater culture. We hope this 20th-anniversary festival serves as a meaningful platform for introducing excellent domestic performances to the global stage and deeply understanding global cultural trends.
